Bittersweet Good News

I was just offered a position that I couldn't refuse. Since I just graduated I am really glad I got an offer that is related to my degree. I start the second week of September and I have a really great feeling about the researcher I'll be working under. It has great benefits and good hours (albeit very early hours...) and I'll be able to spend more time with my munchkin. Sounds perfect, right? Enter dissapointment: I have to postpone my wedding, again. The problem is that it is a pay cut, a pretty big paycut. I need to bust out the trusty calculator and refigure my budget with my new salary, but I think it'll be at least an extra year. That means that we wont' be able to get married before Brian starts med school and I may have to push it back even more. I should have known better than to get my hopes up about the wedding, but we actually had a date and everything. So for now: good bye Sept 11, 2011...

We talked about it a little more this evening, and it looks like it has been postponed indefinately.

On another note: I'm a little sad about the munchkin too. We just found out that she is going to be promoted to the next class in daycare. She gets a new teacher and new classmates and she starts on Tuesday! Aggh! It's hard to watch her get older. I'm glad I'm not the one who drops her off at daycare! I feel for Brian.

I honestly don't know if I am more excited or sad, it's been a rough evening trying to sort it all out.

Getting Started

I decided to start a blog to keep track of all of the new things happening in my life right now. I'm not sure where to start: new job, another new job, a wedding, my baby getting bigger every day... the list goes on and on. Mostly you'll find information about my day to day: keeping up with a 2 year old is an adventure in and of itself, and my wedding planning. Hope you enjoy!
